Native to southern Asia, the fast-growing mysore raspberry plant favors tropical and subtropical conditions, and it is very tolerant to both heat and cold. The plant thrives best in heat and humidity and can either remain around 3′ tall when left to grow on its own as a bush, or it can climb up to 15′ with support. Among its many thorns, the shrub produces dark, blue-black berries that are juicy, sweet and packed with nutrients – especially antioxidants.
